Edith Wharton - The Mount
Help Us Save The Mount

Despite the good news of a six-month extension which allows us to stay open for the 2008 season, The Mount continues to face the threat of foreclosure, which could still result in this National Historic Landmark being closed to the public forever.

Please make a contribution now! To prevent foreclosure, The Mount needs to raise up to $3 million through the Save The Mount campaign by October 31, 2008.

We Must Reach Our Goal by October 31 – Please Contribute

Donate By Check: Please make your check payable to The Mount and mail to: Box 974, Lenox, MA 01240. Federal Tax Identification Number: 04-2666846.

Donate By Credit Card: Download donation form here and send to Box 974, Lenox, MA 01240. We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. Or call us at (413) 551-5104.

The Mount has secured a pledge of matching funds, which will be made available to supplement funds raised under Save The Mount, if The Mount is able to reach a successful restructuring with its principal creditors. Your contribution today will bring us closer to survival and success.

All donations will be processed only if The Mount achieves agreement with its creditors. When successful, letters of acknowledgement and membership information will be mailed to everyone. If the campaign is unsuccessful, The Mount will destroy all checks and credit card forms and post a notice thereof on this website.

It is due to the generosity of our donors that this reprieve has been granted. We will achieve our ultimate goal only through the campaign’s continued momentum.

Thank you.
