Thank you for your understanding and support. \nCurated by André Bernard\, former Vice President of the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation\, In Conversation features great thinkers and influential voices whose contributions shape our culture today. Crossing the fields of politics\, journalism\, humanities\, and the arts\, these conversations will explore fresh perspectives that spark curiosity and ignite new ways of thinking about our most pressing challenges. \nMax Boot is an American author\, historian\, and foreign policy analyst known for his bestselling books\, most recently: Reagan: His Life and Legend (2024)\, one of the 10 best books of 2024 by The New York Times; The Road Not Taken: Edward Landsdale and the American Tragedy in Vietnam (2019)\, a Pulitzer Prize finalist; and Invisible Armies: An Epic History of Guerrilla Warfare from Ancient Times to the Present (2013). Born in Moscow in 1969 and raised in the United States\, he is the Jeane J.
