Join us at the Terrace Café on the first Wednesday of the month\, June-October\, to hear quintessential Edith Wharton short stories brought to life by local actors. Arrive early to enjoy refreshments from the Café\, open 4:00 – 5:30 pm. \n\nIn July\, Mae Hedges Boyce reads “The Reckoning\,” a story exploring themes of love\, loss\, and the complexities of marriage in nineteenth century New York society. \nMae Hedges Boyce is grateful to be back at The Mount for the Wharton on Wednesday series this summer.  Originally from the Boston area\, Mae has lived in the Berkshires\, and has been acting in the Berkshires\, since 2001. She has performed on stage with Shakespeare & Company\, Berkshire Theatre Festival\, Barrington Stage Company\, Berkshire Playwright’s Lab\, and Mixed Company.  When not on stage she works as an energy therapist\, guiding her clients with presence and prayer.  Mae enjoys writing\, especially poetry; and she is working on a theatre piece based on the life of the Christian mystic Julian of Norwich.  She thanks you for being here\, and she thanks her family and friends for their commitment to love.  \n\nTHIS EVENT HAS SOLD OUT. \nJoin the Waitlist!\n  \n$15 / $10* General Admission\nFree for Students \n*Discounted rate for Mount Members!\nInterested in becoming a Member?
