Her books Awakening Artemis and Earthly Bodies reflect this integration\, exploring personal and ecological healing through kinship with the more‑than‑human world. She has collaborated with organizations such as Project Coyote and the Jaguar Rescue Center\, and her writing has appeared in Orion\, Terrain\, Psyche/Aeon\, Yes! SUMMARY:Twilight Bat Watch with Mass Audubon
DESCRIPTION:As evening settles in\, bats begin their nightly flight over open meadows. This family-friendly program begins with a short\, welcoming introduction to bat natural history and common misconceptions\, then moves outdoors to watch and listen for bats during prime twilight hours. \nDepending on conditions\, your naturalist may use a bat detector to help ‘translate’ bat activity into sounds you can experience. Pre-registration is required.\nThis program meets in The Mount’s Stable Auditorium\, a climate-controlled venue adjacent to the parking lot. Doors open 15 minutes before the program’s start time.\nDepending on where the bats are flying\, this program may cover up to one mile of wide\, gently sloped trails. Some sections of the trail may have exposed tree roots or rocks. If the weather forecast or other factors affect this program\, your guide will contact you via email the day before your program with more information.\nWhile programs at dusk can be great fun\, make sure your group is prepared for mosquitoes\, which can be more active during these hours.
