DESCRIPTION:Spend a morning experiencing how nourishing everyday life can be\, even amid the pace and unpredictability of change. In this half-day workshop\, mindfulness meditation and reflective writing will serve as gateways to present-moment awareness\, cultivating greater calm\, increased focus\, and enhanced emotional balance. \nRooted in an inclusive\, non-denominational approach\, this workshop is open to all. Please join us for this refreshing\, revitalizing practice—no prior experience necessary. \n  \nIMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION: \n\nThis three-hour workshop takes place in The Mount’s Stable Auditorium\, a climate-controlled auditorium and classroom adjacent to the Main Parking Lot. Eileen Mahoney is an Interfaith Interspiritual minister who offers workshops and counseling regionally and internationally. She is ordained in Thich Nhat Hanh’s Order of Engaged Buddhism and an initiate of the Sufi Order Inayatiaya. She is also a Certified Trauma Informed Expressive Arts Therapist and Mindfulness Teacher. Eileen’s forthcoming book\, Viriditas\, the Greening of the Soul\, outlines a process combining meditation and the arts with spiritual exploration to refresh and enliven our souls in the face of today’s challenges. She believes that we are meant to live from this “Green” dimension of our being\, living fully in our True Selves.

SUMMARY:Your Story\, Out Loud\, a three-part workshop with Sheela Clary
DESCRIPTION:Everyone has stories worth telling. Most of us just need someone to help us locate the important ones and shape them into being. \nYour Story\, Out Loud is a three-session storytelling workshop led by Sheela Clary\, journalist\, emcee\, and founder of The Village Green. Held on three consecutive Tuesday mornings\, the workshop welcomes both experienced writers and those entirely new to storytelling. Participants need only a story that matters to them and a willingness to share it aloud. To culminate this workshop\, participants will be invited to share their story before a live audience at Barrington Hall! \nThrough three mornings of immersive\, experiential work\, participants will explore the craft of personal storytelling: identifying resonant moments from lived experience\, shaping them with meaningful detail\, and developing trust in their own voice.
