DESCRIPTION:Bring the whole family to Under the Tent\, a free family concert series featuring lively performances by local folk\, bluegrass\, and kindie rock musicians. With toe-tapping tunes and a festive atmosphere\, these concerts are a fun introduction to a range of musical genres and styles. \nFor Community Day\, The Mount welcomes MISTER G! Ben Gundersheimer is a Latin GRAMMY Award-winning artist\, author\, and educator. Hailed as a “bilingual rock star” by The Washington Post\, he was originally dubbed MISTER G by his young students while pursuing a Master of Education degree. His dynamic\, interactive bilingual performances aim to dissolve borders and foster cross-cultural connections. \nGet ready for a day of music\, stories\, and hands-on fun at The Mount’s second annual multicultural Community Day\, Saturday\, August 9\, 11:00 am – 2:00 pm! \nIMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION: \n\nThis performance takes place in The Mount’s Event Tent\, a large-scale\, open-air tent adjacent to the parking lot. Please be mindful of the weather and plan accordingly.\nThis concert is intended for kids of all ages accompanied by their grown-ups. Thanks to our event sponsors\, it is free and open to the public! Registration is not required.\nIn the event of extreme weather—such as excessive heat or severe thunderstorms—this performance will be cancelled. This webpage and The Mount’s homepage will be updated by 9:00 am the day of the performance if a cancellation is necessary.\nSupreme Soft Serve and La Chalupa Y La Enchilada food truck will be serving lunch and sweet treats from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm\, and The Mount’s Terrace Café will be open from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.\nSeating for all Mount programs is first-come\, first-served.
