SUMMARY:Make Your Own Mini-Comic Workshop with Colleen AF Venable
DESCRIPTION:Did you know many of today’s favorite kids’ graphic novelists got their start making scrappy\, mini-comics by hand? In this workshop\, participants will dream up characters\, build their own worlds\, and shape a story from start to finish. They will also get a lesson in paper engineering\, learning to fold a mini book from a single sheet of paper\, as well as rubber stamp carving techniques to design their own original covers. By the end\, each child leaves with a comic that’s entirely their own. \n  \nIMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION: \n\nThis program is designed for youth ages 8-12\, accompanied by their grown-ups.\nThere is a $5 materials fee for this workshop. We understand that these are challenging times for many families.
