SUMMARY:Playful Engineers Artful Mechanisms Workshop
DESCRIPTION:In a 90-minute\, STEAM-themed maker-skills workshop\, Playful Engineers brings their traveling makerspace to The Mount\, with all the materials and tools required for kids and families to build their own artful mechanisms—specifically\, mechanical linkage–based paper cup robots\, geared to the theme of the Sculpture at The Mount exhibition\, Flourish. \n  \nIMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION: \n\nThis program is designed for youth ages 8-12\, accompanied by their grown-ups.\nThere is a $5 materials fee for this workshop. We understand that these are challenging times for many families. If you need to have the fee waived\, simply use the discount code YOUTH2026 when registering.\nThis workshop takes place in The Mount’s Stable Auditorium\, an indoor\, climate-controlled venue adjacent to the parking lot. Registrants will be asked to participate in some outdoor activities\, so please dress accordingly!\nSeating for all Mount programs is first-come\, first-served. Accessible seating is available.
