Nature offers us soothing sounds\, stable ground\, and blooms with expressions of harmony that guide us home to experience these qualities within ourselves.\n  \nIMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION: \n\nPre-registration for this event is encouraged; there is a suggested donation of $20/per person\, payable on site by cash or Venmo. Her Scandinavian roots are evident in her artwork\, which she describes as a “mix of classic realism and whimsy.” She is a member of the Western Massachusetts Illustrators Guild and has artwork in the permanent collection of The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art. She finds great joy volunteering to share the multitude of benefits for the mind\, body\, and spirit of this ancient form of moving meditation with others. Jamie encourages her students to incorporate simple\, effective Qigong techniques into their daily lives to enhance their physical and emotional well-being. She has shared her love of practicing qigong outdoors at The Mount\, the Berkshire Botanical Garden\, her community by Goose Pond in Lee\, as well as at nature preserves in Florida.

Join us for an easygoing evening of music with friends!  \nIn June\, the Natalia Bernal Quintet returns to The Mount! Singer\, composer\, and recording artist Natalia Bernal blends the vibrant rhythms of Latin America—huayno\, candombe\, samba\, bossa nova\, chacarera\, and more—with North American traditions such as jazz and swing. Her recent solo album\, En Diablada\, was named one of the top ten albums of 2025 by NPR’s Alt.Latino host Felix Contreras. This performance features Natalia Bernal\, vocals; Jason Ennis\, guitar; Michael Zsoldos\, saxophone; Itaiguara Brandão\, bass; and Mark Walker\, drums.  \n  \nIMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION: \n\nSounds of Summer performances take place on The Mount’s Terrace under an open-air shade tent. Speakers are set up on the lawn so guests can also enjoy the music throughout the grounds and gardens.
