Each mindful walk will begin with reading a brief passage of Wharton’s writing—a poem\, letter\, or excerpt from a work of fiction—to enhance your connection to nature and frame an intention for the experience. Throughout the journey\, participants are welcome to share reflections.  \nThis 90-minute hike takes place year-round and covers 1.5 miles on the trails of The Mount and adjacent properties. Please plan accordingly! \nNancy Seguin is a passionate explorer of nature\, history\, and cultural landscapes. As a Hiking Guide for OLLI at BCC\, Berkshire Natural Resource Council\, and previously with Berkshire Camino\, she creates mindful learning experiences\, bringing communities together to enjoy the outdoors in all seasons.

Mary Hannah will guide you in easy to follow Tai Chi movements to cultivate vitality and a walking meditation to experience “The art of connecting with nature through our senses” – Dr. Qing Lin\, Chairman of the Japanese Society for Forest Medicine\n\nBy allowing space to be present in nature and move with nature\, we awaken not only our senses but also wonder\, curiosity and our innate capacity for healing. When Mary Hannah teaches Tai Chi\, she draws on over a decade of experience as a mind-body movement instructor\, teaching yoga in studios\, wellness resorts\, public schools\, summer camps and leading mindful outdoor experiences. She delights in sharing the peace\, vitality and inspiration that comes from being in nature through her teaching and artwork. This exciting series\, Readings at Rockwell | The Jazz Age Novel\, was organized in tandem with Jazz Age Illustration\, a major exhibition exploring the art of popular illustration of the 1920s and 1930s. The Jazz Age Novel series will explore the work of three authors who critically examine the enormous cultural shifts that took place in America in the 1920s\, including: F.
