DESCRIPTION:Enliven your senses\, refresh your mood\, and boost your immune system with Forest Bathing and Tai Chi among the verdant forests at The Mount. Mary Hannah will guide you in easy to follow Tai Chi movements to cultivate vitality and a walking meditation to experience “The art of connecting with nature through our senses” – Dr. Qing Lin\, Chairman of the Japanese Society for Forest Medicine\n\nBy allowing space to be present in nature and move with nature\, we awaken not only our senses but also wonder\, curiosity and our innate capacity for healing. Nature offers us soothing sounds\, stable ground\, and expressions of harmony that guide us home to experience these qualities within ourselves.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPre-registration by email is encouraged: maryhannah.parkman@gmail.com\nPark in Upper Lot and meet by the Ticket Booth.\nThis program covers approximately 0.5 miles on mostly level or gently sloping trail.\nDress for the weather in warm layers suitable for movement.\nWarm sturdy footwear is recommended.\nThis program may be cancelled in the event of severe inclement weather. Pre-register with Mary Hannah to receive notification of any changes to this program.\n\n$20 per person. Payment accepted by cash or Venmo @maryhannah-parkman (code: 0285) \n\n\n\n\n\nMary Hannah Parkman is a certified Tai Chi Instructor and Yoga Teacher\, drawn to both by the nature-inspired movements and the dance between grace and strength. After practicing Tai Chi and Qi Gong for 10 years\, she earned her first Tai Chi certification in 2023. When Mary Hannah teaches Tai Chi\, she draws on over a decade of experience as a mind-body movement instructor\, teaching yoga in studios\, wellness resorts\, public schools\, summer camps and leading mindful outdoor experiences. She delights in sharing the peace\, vitality and inspiration that comes from being in nature through her teaching and artwork.
