IMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION:
- Pre-registration for this event is encouraged; there is a suggested donation of $20/per person, payable on site by cash or Venmo. To register, email:Â maryhannah.parkman@gmail.com
- This program meets at The Mount’s Ticket Booth and takes place outdoors, rain or shine. Please plan your apparel and footwear accordingly—wear comfortable clothes suitable for movement. In the event of rain, this program will be abbreviated to one hour. In the event of extreme weather conditions, such as excessive heat or severe thunderstorms, this program will be canceled. Registrants will be notified by email by 12:00 pm the day of the program.
- There is a short trail walk of 0.5 miles at the start of this program. The Mount’s trails cover a mix of woodchip paths, grassy areas, and mostly level woodland trails with some gentle slopes. Surfaces may be uneven, and participants are advised to be mindful of exposed roots and natural variations underfoot.
- While The Mount is a dog-friendly property, dogs are not permitted in this program.

Mary Hannah Parkman is a certified Tai Chi Instructor and Yoga Teacher. She was drawn to Tai Chi by the nature-inspired movements and the dance between grace and strength. After practicing Tai Chi and Qi Gong for 10 years, she earned her first Tai Chi certification in 2023. When Mary Hannah teaches Tai Chi, she draws on her 12 years of experience as a mind-body movement instructor, teaching yoga in studios, wellness resorts, public schools, summer camps, and leading mindful outdoor experiences. She delights in sharing the peace and vitality that come from being in nature, and volunteers to support conservation efforts for Eastern Hemlock trees. 5% of donations to this program will go to support the New York State Hemlock Initiative
