Community Day | MISTER G | Under the Tent Concert for Kids
Featuring live music, readings and performances, a resource fair, book exchanges, and food trucks, The Mount’s inaugural Community Day will be the culmination of our summer-long program lineup celebrating the vibrant, multicultural diversity of the Berkshires!
Kicking off festivities on the main stage is Latin Grammy award-winning musician, activist, author, and educator, MISTER G! MISTER G fuses music and storytelling in a fun-filled live experience for kids of all ages. The Mount will be giving away copies of Señorita Mariposa, a story chronicling the extraordinary migration of the monarch butterflies from Canada to Mexico.
Bring the whole family to Under the Tent, a free kids’ concert series featuring lively performances by local folk, bluegrass, and kindie rock musicians! With toe-tapping tunes and a festive atmosphere, these concerts are a fun introduction to a range of musical genres and styles. Join us!
Ben Gundersheimer, a.k.a. MISTER G, is a Latin GRAMMY Award-winning artist, author and educator. Hailed as “a bilingual rock star” by The Washington Post, he was originally dubbed MISTER G by his young students while pursuing a Master of Education degree. His dynamic, interactive bilingual performances aim to dissolve borders and foster cross-cultural connections.
