Among the Hemlocks: Beauty, Connection, and Restoration with Mary Hannah Parkman

July 22 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Immerse yourself in a restorative walk that blends the calming practice of forest bathing with empowering, hands-on learning about our region’s majestic Eastern hemlock trees. Along The Mount’s woodland trails, wellness instructor and conservationist Mary Hannah Parkman will be your guide to slowing down, breathing deeply, and connecting with nature. Edith Wharton, known as a writer of books, also curated the story of a native New England landscape at The Mount through her care and imagination. Many of the grand Eastern hemlock and Eastern white pines on the estate grew under the appreciation of Edith. You’ll learn practical insight into forest health that deepens your sense of stewardship, leaving you refreshed, grounded, and inspired to care for these legacy trees that care for us.
