Explore the Elements Art Workshop | Line Lab

Venture throughout the grounds of The Mount with our youth education team to explore Sculpture at The Mount, an exhibition featuring more than 20 works of contemporary outdoor sculpture. Participants will create studies of line, color, and form using different media and techniques. Young artists and their grown-ups are welcome to participate—no previous experience necessary. IMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION:

  • This program is designed for youth ages 8-12, accompanied by their grown-ups.
  • There is a $5 materials fee for this workshop. We understand that these are challenging times for many families. If you need to have the fee waived, simply use the discount code YOUTH2026 when registering.
  • This workshop takes place outdoors on The Mount’s grounds, which include a mix of woodchip paths, dirt roads, grassy areas, and mostly level trails with some gentle slopes. Surfaces may be uneven, and participants are advised to be mindful of exposed roots and natural variations underfoot.
  • In the event of inclement weather, this workshop will be moved indoors to the Stable Auditorium. Please check in at the Ticket Booth when you arrive to receive any updates about the location of this program.
