Julia Shippee holds a Master of Music in Music Education from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from the University of New Hampshire. She teaches elementary general music, plays bass in college orchestras and local jazz ensembles, and appears regularly as a guitarist and singer. At Berkshire Music School, Julia teaches a vibrant, all-ages studio of private lessons in guitar, bass, and ukulele, and leads a range of pay-what-you-wish community group classes, including Youth Ukes! and Youth Rock Band.

Founded in 1940, Berkshire Music School has been serving the greater Berkshire County community for over 80 years. We offer private lessons on any instrument, Community Group Classes on a pay-what-you-wish basis, and special programs for people of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels. We believe that every student, no matter their finances, should be able to receive a quality music education.
