Walking with WordXWord

July 19 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Join us — no registration required.

In this immersive series, poets create new works inspired by selected pieces fromĀ Sculpture at The Mount. Walking with WordXWord is a roving poetry reading that invites audiences to “see” The Mount’s woods, meadows, and grounds – and the art within it – anew.

IMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION:

  • This program meets behind The Mount’s Stable and takes place outdoors, rain or shine. Please plan accordingly! In the event of extreme weather conditions, such as excessive heat or severe thunderstorms, this event will be moved indoors to The Mount’s Stable Auditorium. Please check this event listing for weather-related updates.
  • The Mount’s grounds include a mix of woodchip paths, dirt roads, grassy areas, and mostly level trails with some gentle slopes. Surfaces may be uneven, and participants are advised to be mindful of exposed roots and natural variations underfoot.
  • A golf cart shuttle will be available to participants with mobility concerns.
  • WordXWordĀ events areĀ freeĀ andĀ openĀ to the public – no advance registration is required; however, some poems may contain content or language best suited for mature audiences.
